No sabes lo que me cuesta escribir esto

Blackie Books, 2018

(You don´t Know What it Took to Write this Book) The most difficult book to write that you have ever read.
There’s something you should know before you start reading this book: you have never before read a book that was this difficult to write.
This is because the person who wrote it does not know how to write. How long did it take you to read this sentence? A second? Less? Well, I had to rewrite it 10 times. Maybe even more. This is not because I’m a perfectionist. It’s because words take a long time to appear in my mind. And writing takes a lot out of me. You’ll have to forgive me if there are no sophisticated passages of prose in this book. That’s just the way it is. Seven years ago, I had an epileptic fit. The doctors discovered it was caused by a malformation in my brain - a ticking time bomb that had to be defused. They operated on me three times. During the third operation, I had a stroke. Things got ugly. When I woke up, I couldn't speak. I had to learn to speak and read all over again, which was a right fucking pain in the arse.
Speaking is difficult. Explaining why you can’t is even harder.
