“A good novel. Modern and attractive.” Julià Guillamon, La Vanguardia
Synopsis
(The Soldiers’ Melancholy) France fighting to keep its Algerian territories at the end of the Fifties is the historical setting for this novel. A tragic story of love and espionage in which the reader will discover the horrors and miseries of war. The author takes us from Algiers to Paris, Tangiers to Frankfurt, always with an ironic, tender gaze and, through the modest stories of anonymous people, reveals little-known aspects of the Algerian war in a tale full of perfume, colours and laughter.
