(Detachment of the Routine) Although it doesn’t seem to have affected him, Luis’ life starts to get complicated after the loss of important funding due to his failure to deliver some reports to his company. The solution to this seems to be to adapt reality to the guidelines, which govern his particular world. The series of characters that pass thorough here and their adventures and misadventures give shape to this novel. Reality, desire and imagination combine in such a way that we never know what is going to happen or if the story is going to descend into a well of surrealism or nightmares: page by page, we discover that this is not so, that tenderness and hope override humour, providing a plot which is written in creative, serious and precise language.
