Joan-Daniel BEZSONOFF
Joan-Daniel Bezsonoff (Perpignan, 1963) is a teacher of Catalan language in Perpignan and writes for several newspapers and magazines. Among his works, one should mention the novels La guerra dels cornuts (Empuries, 2004, winner of the Just M. Casero Award 2003 and the MediterranĂ©e Prize 2004), Les AmnĂšsies de DĂ©u (EmpĂșries 2005, winner of the SalambĂł, Crexells and Maria Ăngels Anglada awards), Els taxistes del Tsar (EmpĂșries, 2007), La melancolia dels oficials (EmpĂșries, 2011) and Matar De Gaulle (EmpĂșries, 2014).
He has also published three autobiographical books: Una educaciĂł francesa (LâAvenç, 2009 â Lletra dÂŽOr Award 2010), Les meues universitats (LâAvenç, 2012) and El fill del coronel (L'Avenç 2017) published as an omnibus edition entitled Les set vides dâun gat rus (LâAvenç, 2019).
In 2017 he published La ballarina de BerlĂn (EmpĂșries, 2017) and in 2022 he returns with the long awaited El diable es va aturar a OrĂ (EmpĂșries, 2022).
