Carmen ROMERO LORENZO


Carmen Romero Lorenzo (Sevilla, 1993) studied a Double Degree in Humanities and Translation and Interpreting in Seville and spent a year in Dublin. She currently combines writing with literary translation. She has published stories in several anthologies, including Alucinadas III and V (Palabaristas, 2017 and 2019) and Ira de Dioses (Pulpture, 2018). She was also a finalist for the Domingo Santos Prize in 2017.

Her work is not limited to narrative, she is also co-author of the drama Clitmenestra encadenada for the company Furor Bacchicus, in which she also performed for several years, and has participated in the collection of essays Infiltradas (Palabaristas, 2019).

Her academic and artistic background makes her choose a literature rooted in mythology and classical culture, but also in social struggles and humanist speculation.

In 2023 she publishes her debut fantasy novel: Ritos de primavera (Umbriel, 2023).
