Ángela Vallvey is a pretigious author of poetry, awarded with the Premio Ateneo de Sevilla for her book Nacida en cautividad (Algaida, 2006). Her books for young readers are Kippel y la mirada electrónica and Vida sentimental de Bugs Bunny both published by SM, and Donde todos somos John Wayne (Acento Editorial). She is also author of several awarded and successful novels. A la caza del último hombre salvaje (Salamandra, 1999) was her first novel for adults and has been widely translated. After Vías de extinción (Salamandra, 2000), her novel Los estados carenciales (Destino 2002) was awarded the Nadal Award 2002 and became a best seller. It was followed by the short story collection No lo llames amor (Destino, 2003), La ciudad del diablo (Destino, 2005) and Todas las muñecas son carnívoras (Destino, 2006). Her novel, Muerte entre poetas (Planeta, 2008) was 2^nd winner of the Planeta Award 2008. A usual presence in press, radio and television, she has seen her value as a columnist acknowledged with the concession of the Julio Camba Journalism Award for her article La soledad (Loneliness) in 2010. Her latest novel is El hombre del corazón negro (Destino, 2011).
